Mon travail explore une tension émotionnelle profonde, entre absence et réminiscence, influencée par les théories de la construction psychique de l’enfance ou par la Saudade – ce sentiment portugais mêlant nostalgie, désir et mélancolie, une sensation insaisissable qui teinte mes œuvres d’une dualité entre attraction et distance, présence et effacement. À travers la peinture, je questionne la perméabilité entre mémoire et imaginaire, entre souvenirs recomposés et réalités altérées, cherchant à donner forme aux instants flous qui persistent en nous.
L’espace domestique de mon enfance, saturé d’objets accumulés, a profondément marqué ma perception de l’environnement et de la forme. Ce chaos structuré a influencé ma manière d’aborder l’image : superpositions, juxtapositions et couches successives traduisent une tentative d’excavation de la mémoire, où chaque ajout ou effacement devient un geste d’archéologie intime. Ce dialogue entre accumulation et disparition est au cœur de ma pratique, où le souvenir se reconstruit qu’en se déconstruisant.
Si des artistes comme Hervé Télémaque, Philip Guston ou Michel Majerus m’inspirent par leur usage de la source et leur manière de la donner à voir, ce sont avant tout les codes populaires et générationnels qui nourrissent mon langage pictural. J’explore un lexique visuel issu du numérique, du graphisme et de la culture visuelle contemporaine. Mon travail est imprégné d’un imaginaire collectif, oscillant entre esthétique de la consommation, traces du virtuel et fragments d’une mémoire individuelle recomposée.
Un élément clé de cette quête est le jeu vidéo, hérité dans mon enfance et devenu un prisme fondamental dans mon approche de l’image. Cet espace immatériel, à la fois familier et insaisissable, interroge notre rapport à la réalité et à la fiction. À travers lui, je mets en tension les espaces virtuels, réels et mémoriels, interrogeant la manière dont ces dimensions s’interpénètrent et influencent notre perception du monde. La peinture devient alors un terrain de jeu où je compose des espaces hybrides, entre immersion et rupture, contemplation et saturation.
Ainsi, mes œuvres fonctionnent comme des constructions fragmentaires où la peinture devient un territoire de dialogue entre passé et présent, matérialité et fugacité. En jouant sur l’accumulation, la structure et l’effacement, j’explore l’absence et la quête de sens à travers un langage visuel oscillant entre figuration et abstraction, narration et éclatement. Chaque composition est un territoire mouvant, un équilibre instable où la mémoire se transforme et se redéfinit sans cesse.
Born in 1996 in Paris, my artistic journey first took shape in the world of applied arts at the École Boulle, followed by graphic design and image printing at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, before becoming firmly rooted at the Beaux-Arts de Paris. This diverse education has enriched my relationship with imagery, materiality, and surfaces, influencing my approach to composition and visual storytelling.
My work explores a deep emotional tension between absence and reminiscence, influenced by theories on the psychic construction of childhood and by Saudade—a Portuguese sentiment blending nostalgia, longing, and melancholy. This elusive sensation imbues my work with a duality between attraction and distance, presence and erasure. Through painting, I examine the permeability between memory and imagination, between reconstructed recollections and altered realities, seeking to give form to the blurred moments that persist within us.
The domestic space of my childhood, saturated with accumulated objects, has profoundly shaped my perception of environment and form. This structured chaos has influenced my approach to imagery: layering, juxtapositions, and successive strata translate an attempt to excavate memory, where each addition or erasure becomes an act of intimate archaeology. This dialogue between accumulation and disappearance is at the heart of my practice, where memory is rebuilt only by being deconstructed.
While artists such as Hervé Télémaque, Philip Guston, and Michel Majerus inspire me through their use of sources and the way they reveal them, it is above all popular and generational codes that nourish my pictorial language. I explore a visual lexicon drawn from digital culture, graphic design, and contemporary visual culture. My work is steeped in a collective imagination, oscillating between the aesthetics of consumption, traces of the virtual, and fragments of a recomposed individual memory.
A key element of this exploration is video games—an inheritance from my childhood that has become a fundamental lens through which I approach imagery. This immaterial space, both familiar and elusive, questions our relationship to reality and fiction. Through it, I create a tension between virtual, real, and mnemonic spaces, interrogating how these dimensions intertwine and shape our perception of the world. Painting thus becomes a playground where I compose hybrid spaces, between immersion and rupture, contemplation and saturation.
Thus, my works function as fragmentary constructions where painting becomes a space for dialogue between past and present, materiality and transience. By playing with accumulation, structure, and erasure, I explore absence and the search for meaning through a visual language that oscillates between figuration and abstraction, narration and fragmentation. Each composition is a shifting territory, an unstable balance where memory is constantly transformed and redefined.
